Abolitionist Futures’ Southwest Reading Club are proud to be hosting a conversation with Cradle Community to discuss their new book, Brick by Brick: How We Build a World Without Prisons.

The book is the first of its kind—a collaboratively written anthology about prison abolition and what the future could really look like.

We will begin reading the first chapter of Brick by Brick. This event will take place alongside the usual Abolitionist Futures Reading Club meeting. Regardless of whether or not you have time to read the text, join us for an educational event—an opportunity to learn how to become published under an independent house and to learn more about abolition.

The reading club is a queer, anti-police, anti-fascist, pro-black, pro-POC, pro-trans space, where open minds are welcome and healthy discussion is received.
